drops-of-water-578897_1280Water often gets its way because water adapts to what gets in its way.

Water exploits an opening by exploring the possibilities of the space.

Water is patient. It will wear its encumbrance down if it must.

Water changes states cooperatively. It knows when its time for a different expression. It doesn’t fight a change of state. It allows it by taking a different form while maintaining its essence. In each state it performs the good work the other states wouldn’t.

But not us. We resist.

Change. Obstacles. Unexpected events.

We get anxious early.

Sometimes we acknowledge this. Rarely do we accept and adapt. Mostly we pretend it’s not happening which is the ultimate resistance, voluntary ignorance.

We could choose to be like water. We could see “interference” as part of the path. We could be open to changes of state. We could find our worth in all our forms.

Which would make us a force few things can resist.
