I am thankful for a wife who was too in love to know better.

The miracle is she now knows but still stays.

I am thankful for children who drift to dream on my wings.

Someday they will grow up.

I am thankful for the woods when nobody else is in it.

Though there are moments when I wish there were.

I am thankful for chimes on a windy late fall evening.

Listen to their lungs and the chill that conducts them.

I am thankful for whiskey no matter the spelling.

They are conjuring beauts in the land where the sun rises.

I am thankful for full faculties.

I’ve witnessed some do more with less.

I am thankful for friends.

By definition that is anyone who gives you their courage.

I am thankful for sleep insulated in peace.

The perfect conditions for serving refreshments.

I am thankful for words.

They have shaped my description which has given me shape.

I am thankful to have time to think about being thankful.

I am thankful to find you have the very same kind of time.
