I have the worst personality.

My wife has the best.

She was reading me the results of a personality test she had taken at my request. It was for entertainment and to quench curiosity. These tests are intriguing to me. Some argue their various origins but they do line up in certain ways. Certain, not all. Meredith read her results to me as I sipped New England clam chowder. I love that stuff. I listened closely as the description grew. It wasn’t a perfect match. But it was pretty close. It described her drive and determination. It captured her enthusiasm and gusto. It picked up on her independent spirit. It was close enough to make you wonder how it could be so close.

The more she read, the more I enjoyed it. She was describing all of the things I love about her. I had never had them all laid out like that before. Even the parts about her potential downsides, which I’ve never experienced, seemed romantic. I’m certain the clam chowder had nothing to do with my reception of the moment. Though it was some very good chowder.

It’s been an adventure watching her personality unfold. It’s a blessing to be able to do so. It’s interesting how a personality test can help you see things you’ve already seen but didn’t fully understand when they were first seen.
