You have high ideals. There is a perfect way and you are going to make it. It won’t be made perfectly. You know this. You don’t care. And you do care. You care deeply about your vision. You care so deeply that it manifests itself physically. There’s something in your chest residing somewhere close to your heart. It might even have set up basecamp right inside. Those valves are always opening. Wouldn’t take much for something to slip in on the tails of some crimsoned erythrocytes (red blood cells). Once inside the paramagnetism can commence.

Wikipedia: Paramagnetism is a form of magnetism whereby certain materials are attracted by an externally applied magnetic field, and form internal, induced magnetic fields in the direction of the applied magnetic field.

Me: Certain things are attracted by certain other things. The outside thing causes the reaction and response from the inside thing.

Let’s call this the Heart Magnet.

The Heart Magnet doesn’t respond to all magnetic fields. Just the ones its hard-wired to recognize. Certain materials. So which qualify and command allegiance?

Well, that depends.

What’s taken up residence inside of you? What worthy pursuit is replicating itself through the blood cells that course through you? Yes, you have a condition and you might not even know it. It’s terminal and eternal at the same time.

How do you know you’ve been chosen? You’ll know it by its solitary symptom.

You’ll feel the pull.

When you see someone headlong in pursuit of their cure and you feel that tug from about 3 inches within your chest. That’s the Heart Magnet. It’s responding to a specific externally applied magnetic field. This is their act of courage. An internal, induced magnetic field is born in their direction. This is your reply. It’s a response. It’s not a choice. You aren’t in control and you can feel it. Sometimes it’s accompanied by tears. Both of joy and pain. Not always at the same time and not always in response to the same external force.

There’s something unmistakable about a person trying to be who they were clearly born to be. There’s something equally true about seeing things as they are and believing they should be better. What happens next isn’t as guaranteed.

Listen to your Heart Magnet. It’s a close relative of intuition.
