Drive

I have a two car detached garage that lives about 15 yards off the back of my city home. The driveway is modeled after a fashion model… long and skinny. Driver error is limited and chances of falling off the runway are high.

My wife courageously backs her old Cavalier down the driveway when she comes home. This way she doesn’t have to reverse out in the groggy mornings.

I pull in head first when I come home and back out in the mornings. If I were to guess why the difference in approach, it is because my wife is more of a planner and I am more of a morning person.

We don’t have a turnaround so we will always have to backup our vehicles. We still have some say in the matter and get to decide when we backup our vehicle though.

cue life metaphor

I suppose life can be this way. Sometimes there isn’t a turnaround and you’re going to have to backup.

Sometimes you do get to decide how you take that backwards step though.

In that case, how you backup is up to you.

A little more about Eric Worral...

I try and separate the trivial from the important things in life. I believe the way we treat each other matters a great deal.
