Hard to tell how far.

But it’s coming this way.

There’s thunder in the distance.

The rain has already begun.

But the thunder isn’t here yet.

But you can hear it.

There’s thunder in the distance.

There’s lighting too.

But the lighting seems closer than the thunder.

Now the drops are getting heavy.

Heavy like nails bouncing off a tin roof.

Wet nails.

They make the thunder hard to hear.

As if farther away.

But not that one.

That one sounded close.

Closer than the lightning.

Now the breeze won’t be forgotten.

Neither will the wind.

The trees begin to shush us all.

There’s thunder in the distance.

Perhaps there it will stay.
